MY PRESS WON'T
START...
Machines this applies to: Ryobi
2800, 3200, 3200MCD; Itek 960, 975, 985
Check these common causes of this
problem:
- Is the machine unplugged or is a
circuit breaker tripped?
- Check all the safety cover switches
and their wires. Don't forget the ones at the non-operator side of the
water unit and the operator side of the feeder where covers may have been
removed.
- On presses with a vertical micro
image adjust knob (3200MCD & Itek 985), make sure the micro adjuster is
not engaged.
- On newer presses check the bar with
the three pins in it at the very end of the chain delivery to be sure the
pins are not stuck in the up position after a paper jam.
If none of these things help you may
have a problem with a switch, relay, wiring, or the motor. Time to call
for service.
